We are proud to present the finest Thalassotherapy Centre in North America “Playa Grande Thalassotherapy”. Located in a privileged site by the sea, the centre brings seawater directly from the Mar de Cortés that stretches 1,125 km north to south along the Peninsula and is one of the World’s unique ocean environments. Considered to be the richest body of water on earth, it supports over 800 marine vertebrates species.

Thalassotherapy initiated in France in 1865 by Dr. La Bonardiere. The meaning of the word comes from the practice of using seawater baths and seawater based treatments for prevention and curing purposes administrated by qualified trained specialists.

Each guest will receive personalized therapy adapted to his or her particular needs. Treatments will enhance the participant’s state of calm, energy balance, stress relief, restoration of skin firmness and suppleness. Sliming, improved circulation and detoxification benefits are accomplished as well. It will also help in preparation of and recuperation from athletic activities.

Indian Head Golf

Playa Grande Resort is pleased to announce to our valued members and guests, that now you’re able to enjoy a fabulous New Amenity. The 9 hole indian head putting course Indian Head Golf, named for the Mexican National monument, etched in the rugged cliffs above the profesional 9 hole putting course at Playa Grande Resort, features a spectacular 60 foot, cascading waterfall, and three sparkeling blue lakes Putting on this challenging course is great fun, for both the young and the “young at heart”

Fishing

Los Cabos has long been know for its amazing sportfishing. Known as the “Marlin Capital of the World” your chances of catching a trophy billfish are extremely high. Other prized gamefish such as tuna, wahoo, dorado, roosterfish and many others are abundant. Even if you are not a die hard fisherman this is a great way to cruise the fertile waters offshore, catch some sun and maybe run into other ocean creatures such as whales and dolphins. Scuba Diving

There are two ways to take advantage of this great sport. One is a live aboard such as the SOLMAR V, which sails on week long cruises and the other is on one of our day tours out of the Amigos Del Mar Dive Center which depart at 9:30 a.m. daily. Both dive the rich, clear waters of the Sea of Cortez known to have over 850 species of reef fish many of which are found no where else in the world. The cruise aboard SOLMAR V is geared towards scuba divers that want nothing else but to eat, sleep and dive. Amigos Del Mar offers tours for beginners to advanced and scuba resort courses for those who want to give scuba diving a try but never have. Although scuba and sportfishing are our favorites, there are many other activities available a short distance from our property. Five world class golf courses can be found from 10 to 25 minutes away by taxi. Course designers such as Robert Trent Jones, Pete Dye and Jack Nicholas have all designed spectacular courses in Los Cabos. Most with incredible ocean views. Sunset cruises, snorkeling, horseback riding, parasailing, waverunners, and even ATV rides to the desert are all available in Los Cabos. Our activity desk can help with all your arrangements.

Ground Airport Transportation
The taxi unions in Mexico will not allow individual hotel owned shuttles but getting in from the airport is easy. After passing through immigration and customs look for the “Authorized Taxi” shuttle booth and buy a ticket to Playa Grande Resort. Prices are about $17.00 U.S. dollars per person one way. Remember this is at least a 45 minute ride. We also offer transfers through Cape Travel for $34.00 per person roundtrip by shuttle van.
